This program is fully on-line, and usually takes four semesters or completion of 21 credit hours. Alternative Licensure is for people who already have a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education, special education, child development or family and consumer sciences AND who want a NM Teaching License in early childhood education. In some cases, people with Bachelor Degrees in other fields can be considered, especially if they have taken a Child Growth, Development and Learning class. Requirements for Admission
Early Childhood Certificate class requirements: 

To be a part of the early childhood program, an interested applicant must be accepted into the college. They need to fill out an application form either online or in-person, apply for financial aid, and also take the Accuplacer at the Testing Center. If you have college transcripts and ACT/SAT scores, the Testing Center might be able to use them to determine appropriate placement.
