Co-Teacher & Temporary Director

Program Name:
Pando Little School
Program Description:
Pando Little School is seeking an experienced early childhood leader to join our Reggio Emilia inspired preschool. As Pando’s temporary director, you’ll enjoy supervising and supporting a small teaching team, cozy one-room preschool, and wonderful parent community. This part-time position runs from 12:15-4:15pm, Monday-Friday What Pando offers you: Pando is different from most other preschools. We’re small - With just 12 children and 2 teachers, you will have opportunities to work with teachers, families, and children. We take curriculum seriously - Though you won’t hear us talking much about ELGs or developmental domains, don’t be fooled. We think deeply about the experiences we create for our students. You’ll participate in the creation of an emergent curriculum that is rich in science, technology, storytelling, and the arts. We’re inclusive - Our small size and unique location attract a wide range of families. You’ll work with families from a range of socio-economic, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds.. We’re dedicated to ECE - Our program exists not merely to serve the families in our care, but to enhance the broader New Mexico ECE community. You will be invited to join teacher groups, attend educational events, present at conferences, and mentor student teachers. We’re surrounded by nature and community - Pando is located at The Source, a community and public square in Nob Hill overflowing with gardens, ponds, smiling faces, and neighborhood events. Take students to our community’s chicken coop, pick a tomato from the garden, or sit in the coffee shop to people watch. We want our students and our teachers to be productively engaged with The Source community.
