See you in 2018!
If you are an early childhood teacher, parent, or desire to see New Mexico's young children thrive, this opportunity is for you!
The 8th Annual Early Childhood Public Policy and Parent Advocacy Leadership Institute will be held in Santa Fe on Monday, January 15th through Wednesday, January 17th, 2018!
The popular Early Childhood Public Policy (ECPP) Institute and Parent Advocacy Leadership (PAL) Institute is held annually in Santa Fe, NM on the day before the opening of the New Mexico Legislature, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The first day of the institute covers advocacy and understanding the legislative process, especially in how it relates to early childhood issues in New Mexico. Then on Tuesday, attendees have the chance to meet legislators at the Roundhouse for “Celebrating New Mexico’s Children and Youth Day." The Institute then culminates with reflection on the days' events on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. The Institute is sponsored by the New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children (NMAEYC), the New Mexico Head Start Association, and other early education organizations.
Celebrating NM's Children & Youth Day
On the first day of New Mexico's legislative session, organizations and people come together to recognize the children and youth of New Mexico! Each year, organizations can sign up for tabling and advocacy training.
