The purposes of the Public Policy Committee of the New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children are: to influence the development of a combined legislative agenda that can be promoted to our legislature; to advocate for the children and families of New Mexico in the Legislature; and to improve opportunities for professional development for early childhood education professionals, in accordance with the Vision, Mission, and Goals statements (particularly Goals 1, 2, and 5) of our state organization.
