VISION

NMAEYC holds as its vision that:

ALL children can express and celebrate their unique spirits through opportunities to explore, dream, play, learn, and create in safe and loving learning environments among families and communities.

VALUE STATEMENT

NMAEYC believes that:

·      The best education is a partnership of family, community and school.

·      The dignity and the diversity of every child and family should be valued and protected.

·      Investing in well-trained and well-compensated early childhood professionals is a key component in children's development.

MISSION

The mission of New Mexico AEYC is to promote quality care and education for the well-being of ALL young children, birth to eight, through professional development and advocacy.

GOALS

 The goals of NMAEYC are to:

1.  Invest in the quality early care and education of children birth through eight.

2.  Share the responsibility for supporting children and families through collaboration within the communities.

 

3.  Support opportunities to recognize traditions and languages of the many cultures of New Mexico.

4.  Promote diversity within our organization.

5.  Share the responsibility for supporting the training, education and compensation of all Early Childhood professionals.

6.  Support and update the state affiliate and affiliate chapters to strengthen membership throughout New Mexico.
