The purposes of the Public Policy Committee of the New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children are:  to influence the development of a combined legislative agenda that can be promoted to our legislature; to advocate for the children and families of New Mexico in the Legislature; and to improve opportunities for professional development for early childhood education professionals, in accordance with the Vision, Mission, and Goals statements (particularly Goals 1, 2, and 5) of our state organization.  You may contact Committee members listed below for information on public policy issues and legislative information, then contact your own legislators to voice your opinion on issues of concern to you or to your affiliate!  Be an advocate!
